The Post That Wasn't

The following is a post I intended to write about Mike Huckabee regarding his 2008 Presidential campaign:

Mike Huckabee says he has no idea how the attack ad he had promised not to show (after showing to it in front of the entire media) leaked and is now an internet sensation.

"If I hadn't done it, the same media would have said, 'Oh, you don't have one [a negative ad],' and we didn't give them DVDs. … We said, no, we're not going to do that."

Asked how the tape had gotten released, Huckabee said, "I don't know how it got out there."

Huckabee will appear tonight on the train wreck known as Jay Leno's Tonight Show. I just happened to see a dress rehearsal where Jay asks Huckabee if he has a clip. Huckabee regretfully complies by showing the negative ad once again under mock protest.

Huckabee has made several television appearances where he has vowed to "change the tone" of the presidential campaign.

"If we'd have stayed with it, we would have exposed some things about his [Mitt Romney's] record that, frankly, [I] think would have probably made a difference here in these last days," he said. He added "what I'm referring to is in the documentary film I've made about Romney's life entitled M*I*T*T which tells the story of a complete bastard Mormon prick who wants to be president." Huckabee adds "It's entirely fictional. It's not about Mitt Romney, mere a Mitt Romney type." A clip of the controversial non-biopic will also air on Leno tonight.

Naw, I don't want to post about that.

Wait. Did I hit "publish?"

Oh, darn.
